# Science fiction-möte i Mariehamn

Den sjätte Åcon-kongressen för science fiction- och fantasyfans inleds på torsdag kväll på hotell Adlon. Årets hedersgäst är författaren Tricia Sullivan, uppvuxen i USA men nu för tiden bosatt i Storbritannien.

**Science fiction-kongress**

I går inleddes den årliga science fiction- och fantasykongressen Åcon i Mariehamn. Kongressen har arrangerats sedan 2007 och syftet är att föra science fiction- och fantasyentusiaster från Finland och Sverige närmare varandra.

**Åcon 6, Day 1**  

First day of Åcon went pretty much as expected (that is, it was great as usual). Morning started at too early o’clock at the ferry (actually, quite a few people had started already yesterday with Åbocon in Turku). Joe’s Place didn’t open early enough, so the traditional Ölcon took place at the piano bar. Not as nice a place, but they served beverages, so good enough.
